IMPHAL, October 3: The Governor of the state Gurbachan Jagat has extended his heartiest greetings to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Durga Asthami, 2011.
In his message, the Governor has stated that the Durga Puja with its glory and joy has arrived to the great delight anf veneration of millions of Indians, transcending all religions, castes, creeds and languages and also reinforcing the emotional integration among the various people of the country.
“I join the people of Manipur in praying to Durga Maa for peace, prosperity and harmony. On this auspicious occasion, we should rededicate ourselves to the task of the building of a modern India and a more prosperous and peaceful Manipur based on equity May Durga Maa shower her blessings for bringing peace, prosperity and harmony on the people of this trouble-torn state”, the message read.
