IMPHAL, October 30: The Manipur State Legal Services Authority held a lok adalat (public hearing) today at the Cheirap court.
During the hearing, altogether 36 cases of Motor accidents were brought up out of which 24 cases were solved.
During the hearing of the 24 cases solved a total of Rs 23,36,000 were provided as compensation to various parties and individuals.
Rs seven lakh was the highest compensation awarded to a single party while, Rs eight thousand was the lowest.
Today’s public hearing was chaired by retd district and session judge Manipur east Ph Surendra Singh, advocate Ch Momon Singh and advocate Ph Binodini.
