IMPHAL, Oct 31: The security rehearsals for receiving the visiting Union home minister P Chidambaram were held this morning at the respective district head quarters of Tamenglong, Senapati and Ukhrul districts this morning headed by the concerned deputy commissioners and SPs even as additional security reinforcement of police commandos and IRB have been made from the valley districts in view of the high profile visit.
On the other hand, the state government has intimated all concerned authorities of the army and Assam Rifles units presently deployed at Senapati, Tamenglong and Ukhrul districts to provide assistance to the SP concerned of the districts for area domination, environment, security etc and also to co-ordinate with the state police well in advance.
On the other hand, three crew members of military pilots have arrived in the state capital this morning and conducted trial landings where the Union home minister is proposed to stop over during his high profile visit.
Meanwhile, it is also mentioned that, an 11 member team of the North East Frontier Railway has also arrived in the state capital this morning and preparing to attend a review meeting of Jiribam-Tupul-Imphal Railway Line with the Union minister in the state capital on November 2 evening at Raj Bhavan Imphal.
