IMPHAL, Oct 17: Kakching MLA Y Surchandra Singh has informed media persons today that he will file a defamation charge against the Yengkhom Krishnadash Singh Ningshing Lup against the several allegations leveled against him by the lup.
The MLA further informed that the allegations which were published in various local dailies that he had withdrawn crore of rupees without taking up any works are false and baseless and that it has been made with the intention to tarnish his image.
He further added that the allegations smell of political motivation.
During a spot visit this afternoon taking media persons, the MLA showed the media persons the various locations where there are allegations of works being not taken up after withdrawing the funds.
He further informed that the works of the Manipur Development Society are done by the beneficiary committees and the funds are also released to the concerned secretary beneficiaries based on the progress of the works.
