IMPHAL, October 1: The Imphal Amateur Photo Club, which had been defunct for sometime has been reorganized and revived under a new name, the Manipur Amateur Photo Club, MAPC, at a meeting held today at the residence of Pradip Phanjoubam, editor Imphal Free Press.
An executive board has been constituted with Yambem Laba as president; Asem Bhakta as vice president; Pradip Phanjoubam as general secretary; Jonish Nongmaithem as joint secretary; Ratan Luwang as treasurer; Chitra Ahanthem as publicity secretary; Jiten Yumnam as in charge human rights and environment; Diana Potsangbam and R.K. Robindro as in charge videography.
The meeting resolved to open ordinary membership the club to professionally recognized persons/photographers with relevant experience or those possessing SLR/DSLR cameras. The Club will be organizing photo walks and field trips besides hosting photo exhibitions.
