IMPHAL, October 31: A pre-festival promotion campaign of the Royal Riders Manipur with the main objective to spread awareness on the Sangai festival, 2011 was kicked off from Hotel Imphal by Tourism commissioner KK Chhetry.
In today’s leg, the motor rally covered Imphal west, Bishnupur, and Churachandpur district. The rally will further travel to all other districts of the state during different legs.
KK Chhetry in his speech during the inauguration of the rally stated that the state should showcase the best of what Manipur has to offer to the world in terms of arts and culture, adventure sports, indigenous cuisines, handloom and handicrafts, fine arts, indigenous games and music and various other niche products to a regional, national and global audience.
The Sangai will start from November 21 and end on November 30 at the Hapta Kangjeibung, Imphal east.
The motor rally was participated by around 100 Royal Riders Manipur.
