Senapati bound school uniforms burned down at Kangpokpi

IMPHAL, Oct 26: Blockade supporters of the Sadar Hills Districthood Demand Committee (SHDDC) today set on fire school uniforms meant for Dakhoba High School, along the National Highway 2 at Keithelmabi, after they were found on a passenger bus.

Sources said, the incident occurred around 2:30 pm when the uniforms were found on a passenger bus by blockade supporters. The uniforms were on its way to Dakhoba High School situated at Senapati, ferried by one YS Kha, accountant of the school.

The source further asserted that despite the accountants’ attempt to convince the blockade supporters that the uniforms belong to the school and not for commercial purpose and, despite producing the relevant receipts, the blockade supporters unloaded the uniforms from the bus and set them on fire.

Altogether 384 T-shirts were burnt during the arson.
