IMPHAL, Oct 29: Discovering the movement of UG cadres in general areas Langthel, Ningel and Namukhong of Thoubal district, troops of 15 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (S) launched operation in the areas and apprehended three KYKL cadres and one UNLF cadre on 28 Oct 2011. The apprehendees were identified as No.1750 Khaidem Kalu Singh alias Kangli,21 yrs,s/o Kh Gunamanni Singh,No.1686 Khaidem Bijoy Singh alias William,23 yrs,s/o Kh Gunamani Singh both r/o Ningel,Thoubal (KYKL) and Sagolsem Roshan Singh,26 yrs, s/o S Mangi Singh,r/o Langthel Kangjeibung Lampak(UNLF).
Later, the troops of 30 Assam Rifles of 9 sector under HQ IGAR(South) launched operation in general area Yurabung of Imphal West district and apprehended one KCP (Nayon) cadre on 27 Oct 2011. The apprehendee was identified as Ninongbam Roben singh alias Nanao Meitei, 33yrs, s/o Nanongbam Ibomcha Meitei,r/o Yourabung Mamang Leikai,Imphal East and was handed over to Lamlai Police station.
In yet another incident, troops of 23 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector and 30 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (S) launched joint operation in general area Takhel Mamang Leikai of Uklhrul district and apprehended one PLA cadre on 28 Oct 2011. The apprehendee was identified as No.2318,Thounaojam Abocha alias Ano alias Sanajaoba Singh,18 yrs, s/o Late Th Chonjon Singh, r/o Takhel Mamang Leikai, Imphal East.
In other hand, troops of 27 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (S) launched operation in general area Sugnu and apprehended one PREPAK cadre on 29 Oct 2011. The apprehendee was identified as M Nanao Meitei, 30 yrs, s/o M Ameila Meitei, r/o Sugnu.
