IMPHAL, Oct 22: The Labour department of Manipur following an order of the governor of Manipur, has instructed all the shops and establishments lying within the Imphal municipality areas to open shops on October 23 in order to facilitate the public purchasing their requirements for the ensuing “Ningol Chakouba” festival, 2011.
It further notified that the employees of the shops and establishments to be allowed to enjoy an alternative day appointed by the person engaged in the shop under intimation to the owner of the shop as holiday in the next week.
