LAMKA, November 24: As many as 92 people in Churachandpur district have tested positive of Dengue while another eight persons from the district were found positive in Delhi. Another 11 persons from the district were also found positive in Imphal after they had gone with the motive to have their blood tested.
The 92 people were found positive after undergoing test in the district itself with the arrival of Dengue Testing Kit Combo Panel in the district hospital from Kolkata on November 22, according to a source from the DMO F Thienkholien today.
Meanwhile, Dr VC Pau has also stated that since the outbreak of Dengue in CCpur about ten people have died due to Dengue related sicknesses though the status of some of the deceased may not be fully confirmed.
Sources said that the turn-out of people to undergo Dengue test since the introduction of the test kit at the hospital have been exceedingly favourable and from the functioning of the kit starting November 23.
A combination of Ns1, I gg and I gm test could be conducted with the test Kit said the DMO adding that till now pre-emptive measures are going in full swing and particularly fogging of certain areas are going at various localities like the New Lamka, Zoveng , Hmar Veng and also Tuibuong areas.
He further stated that now about 80 to 90 people who have taken up the test at the various private clinics will be reimburse at the rate of Rs 1500 for which the process are still on.
