SINGHAT, Nov 15: 39 Assam Rifles of 27 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of “Red Shield Division” organized a two-day Seminar cum workshop at Singhat on “Enhancing economic development through human resource management”.
A team of experts and resource persons from various departments of state government presented their views during the seminar which included agriculture, horticulture, fisheries, sericulture, apiculture, veterinary, animal husbandry, water management, health care and forests and environment.
Brigadier V. S. Ranade, Commander 27 Sector Assam Rifles graced the Seminar as the Chief Guest and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the security forces and civil administration for having organized such a seminar for the backward and far flung areas. Other important dignitaries apart from the security forces included Thansang, ADC Churachandpur, Rachael Guite, SDO Singhat, Professor N Ibotom Singh, College of Agriculture, Manipur, Dr O Nobo Singh, joint director of state agriculture department.
The seminar received an overwhelming response from the locals in and around Singhat who have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the security forces for having organized such an event.
