CM`s greetings

IMPHAL Nov 5: The Chief Minister Okram Ibobi has greeted the public of the state on the occasion of Id festival. A message of the CM reads, Id –Ul-Zuha reminds us of the supreme sacrifice made by prophet Ibrahim for the sake of mankind and reaffirms faith in the alleigence of Man to God. The joy of sharing and charity associated with the festival promotes the feeling of compassion and love to serve the poor and needy. His message wishes that the festival unite us all in a spirit of common brotherhood to serve the cause of humanity for a more peaceful and prosperous Manipur. In another release, the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee sends its greetings on the eve of the Id Ul Zuha festival which falls on the November 7.

A press statement of the MPCC president Gaikhangam has also greeted the people of the state on the occasion. It has mentioned the historical aspects of the festival and further wished the Muslim community and the public. MP Dr. T Meinya also conveyed his greetings on the occasion.
