CRPF organizes civic action programme at CCpur

IMPHAL, November 5: A Civic Action Programme was organized hy 32 Bn CRPF under the aegis of DIG. Imphal Range at Komkeirap, Loktak, Churachandpur today under the supervision RC Tayal, IGP, Manipur and Nagaland Sector.

B.D. Das, DTGP, Imphal Range, presided over the ceremony as the chief guest.

On this occasion 32 Bn CRPF organized for visit ( National integration tour ) programme under CAP-2010-il for students comprising of different trfbals/communities of Manipur to broaden their horizons in an effort towards spreading goodwill and awareness in the insurgency ridden areas. The tour aims at exploring parts of our country that exist beyond confines of their own abode in the mral Manipur. The tour emphasized the need for people to shed their inhibitions and join hands in ushering in a new era of peace and development and encouraged them to be inquisitive and learn about the culture and people our great nation.

The CRPF also distributed 30 bi-Cydes worth Rs. 87,000 to school going students of 10 different schools under AOR of 32 Bn. CRPF.

The chief guest also inaugurated one food bail coaching programme( for five days) sponsored by CRPF for 20 Local Manipuri youth worth Rs. 55,916/-on account of cost of Foot ball training aids/equipments/uniforms to be given to trainees and distributed a set of Water storage/ supply items worth Rs. 99,984/- to eight villages for use by the villagers.

In his welcome address Jagmohan Briagat Commandant 32 Bn, CRPF highlighted the inherent spirit of Civic Action Programme as welfare to iocai populace, bridging the gap between the forces and the civilians, besides an attempt to bring a qualitative change in the life of local public.

Das, DIGP, Imphal Range, Chief Guest in his address said that the Civic Action Programme by CRPL is a step towards showing humane face of the force to the General public and also to exhibit a feeling that CRPF is their friend. He stressed that CRPF is totally committed towards its social obligations and will continue to carry out similar Civic Action Programme in the future and will also make all out efforts towards bringing an improvement to the life of local people.

Besides Sanjeev Kumar, Commandant 86 Bn, CRPF, Senior Officers of CRPF, Army, BSF, local administration, heads of various villages, teachers and students of various school local gathering in large number.
