IMPHAL, Nov 15: Major General U K Gurung, IGAR (South) interacted with village prominent and civil dignitaries of Kakching and interior areas on November 14.
A release of PRO IGAR (S) stated that the interaction was organised by 27 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR(S) with an aim to apprise the villagers about the various schemes including Assam Rifles Civic Actions and benefits being provided for the peace and prosperity of the region.
Maj General U K Gurung emphasized that no development is possible without the active participation of the locals. He lauded the sterling role being played by the various Social Organisations, Meira Paibis and the local people. The IGAR (South) exhorted the villagers and civil dignitaries to come along and take all possible steps for development and to bring peace and prosperity in the region together.
The village prominent and civil dignitaries also responded overwhelmingly and assured positive participation for all future endeavors of Assam Rifles.
