MOREH, November 11: An official team of the PWD, Chandel division led by its executive engineer N Milan Singh today made an inspection tour of the underconstruction Mini Secretariat building and ADC complex at Moreh.
The team was also accompanied by members of the Meetei Council Moreh and other leaders of various communities during the inspection tour.
The government is planning to inaugurate the both the buildings at the year-end in December. During the inspection tour the EE instructed the contractors engaged in the construction of the two building to complete them before the year-end.
Regarding the completion of the ADC building complex, construction work at site is almost complete including the DLO office, Security Barack etc.
Meanwhile, due to major natural calamities during the rainy season this year, there have been some major disturbances and damages in the construct work at the two sites. Even now there are some major damages along the road which has been constructed inside the complex. It may be further mentioned that the department is trying hard to finish the construction work at the earliest and is trying hard to level the road where there had been landslides during the rainy season earlier during this year. The community leaders who were present during the tour has further appealed to the state government to look into the matter and provide possible helps to the concerned department.
