IMPHAL, Nov 3: A one day farmer training cum-winter vegetable seed distribution programme on Rabi crop, under the theme of “Chinjakta Mipang tadaba (self sufficient)” was held today at Khoiyum Sabal Awang Leikai, UP Adakshya, Yurembam.
The training programme was organized by the Nongchup Imphal Loumi Sinmi Chaokhat Thourang Lup-Imphal west, H.M.N.E.H technology mission department of horticulture under the soil conservation.
The training programme was attended by zilla parisad, Chanam ongbi Bijenta, president, Nongchup Imphal Loumi Sinmi Chaokhat Thourang Lup Imphal west, Shanta Chongtham, vice president All Manipur Progressive Farmer Association, Haobam ongbi Nongleima and Awang Potshangbam Zilla Parisad Hijam Priyokumar as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Vegetable seeds of American Pea, Coli-Flower, Onion and Kashari were distributed to altogether 150 farmers who were present during the training programme.
