IMPHAL December 2: The Co-ordinating Committee of the seven valley based militant outfits has clarified that none among the member outfits, i.e. The KCP, KYKL, PREPAK, PREPAK(Pro), RPF, UNLF & UPPK have no hand regarding the November 30 bomb blast at the gate of the Sangai Tourism festival.

A statement of the committee has informed that such an act which is against the interest of the public and leaves wanton killings while injuring several is despicable and should be condemned by all. The act of terrorism is condemned by the CorCom as it is not in the interest of any outfit fighting for independence and shows the revolution in the wrong light, it said.

The release said that it is evident that the government is trying to blame the insurgents whereas it is known that behind the bomb blast, there is an agenda. The public should remain wary of such policies and should cooperate with the revolution in fighting for the rights of the general public, it said.

It has further notified that, to avoid unnecessary harassment to the public, the general strike has been shortened from 4 am of December 3 till 6 pm of the same day, it said.
