Ensuing election crucial for state, says opp leader O Joy

IMPHAL, December 16: The ensuing general election in the state is crucial for the state considering the various issues in the state including the Supra state, territorial integrity of the state, stated opposition leader O Joy Singh this morning.

Further speaking to media persons on the side-line of the inaugural function of Oinam Leikai community hall under Langthabal a/c this morning, the MPP MLA further elaborated on the issue and added that the people of the state should consider and deliberate on the issues before casting their votes in the ensuing election.

He further demanded from the Election Commission of India to review the establishment of Naga People Front from the state and to de-recognise the NPF from the state at the earliest.

He further added that the MPP had met with officials of the ECI regarding the NPF issue and had verbally demanded de-recognition of the party from the state.

Meanwhile the inaugural function was also attended by ex-panchayat member M Ahongjao, Langthabal Mantri Khong GP pradhan Aheibam Sarat Singh and Maibam Leikai GP pradhan L Birjit and others.

The Langthabal MLA also inaugurated six polling stations; three in Oinam leikai, two in Awang Maibam Leikai and one in Asem leikai after the inaugural of the community hall.
