MPCC distributes sweets, blankets at RIMS as part of Congress chief`s birth anniversary

IMPHAL, December 9: The 65th birthday of the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi was today celebrated by the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee in the state today.

The Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee celebrated the day at its office attended by its vice president S Achouba, Mayang Imphal MLA Kh Ratan, Kakching MLA K Surchandra, ex-minister C Doungel and other members of the party.

Speaking at the celebration, S Achouba stated that the day is a joyous day for the Congress family.

He further added that under the able leadership of Sonia Gandhi, the Congress led SPF government has been undertaking various developmental work in the state.

He further wished the Congress chief to lead the country and the state towards development and be a leader of the mass.

The members of the party also expressed their wishes for the Congress chief on her 65th birthday.

Meanwhile in observation of the Congress chief’s birthday, the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee distributed sweets and blankets to the patients of ICU, and other cancer patients at RIMS.

Meanwhile, the All India Mahila Congress , secretary Poonam Raani Wangkhem also distributed rice, note-books and sweets to the inmates of the Children’s Home Kabo Leikai, Dewlahland.
