UNLF pooh-poohs surrender ceremony

IMPHAL, Dec 16: The proscribed UNLF has termed the surrender ceremony held at HQ IGAR (South) yesterday as a drama devised to tarnish the revolutionary movement in the region.

A statement issued by senior publicity officer Ksh Yoiheiba mentioned that five persons, namely Rafi alias Akber, Nasir Hussain alias Md Rafique, Tensubam Sandesh alias Chinglaingamba, Khumukcham Amuthoi and Soibam Inao who had surrendered before IGAR (South) are not related with the outfit. Some of them had deserted the camp and the others were given retirement.

The statement further said that the Indian Occupation Forces have raised various gang organizations under new factions of KCP to carry out extortions from the general public.

The UNLF further appealed to the people to remain alert from such tactics of the Indian colonial forces.
