IMPHAL, Jan 30: The RPF has claimed that at least six army personnel including an officer were either killed or injured in an ambush laid by PLA cadres at an area between Kharao and Narum Khul in Tegnoupal sub-division in the afternoon of January 28. In a press release, the banned outfit stated that its fighters used heavy artilleries and bombs during the attack. However, the wily army has so far successfully kept hidden the real extent of the damage inflicted on them, it added. The outfit stated that the series of attack on security forces by different insurgent groups in the recent past has proven that they are engaged in valiant fight against the enemies.
