IMPHAL, Feb 23: The annual state general assembly of Popular Front of India, Manipur state was organised with national general secretary KM Sharif and national executive member Ya-Muheiuddin as the chief guests. The meeting passed four unanimous resolutions, namely to start the school chalo programme from February 14 till the month of March, to take an account of the drop out rates of children in eight selected areas by conducting a survey and holding monthly awareness programme for their parents, to alleviate the condition of students belonging to poor section through consultation with the right authorities and to conduct three community development surveys and take up activities based on the findings and consultations with community leaders.
