IMPHAL, Feb 2: Post the grenade blast at Singjamei Supermarket area last night, police dug up a live IED at Pishum Ningom Leirak this morning at about 9.30 am.
The IED was dug up from near a crematorium which is located by the riverside and contained nearly three kilograms of RDX. It was found by a rickshaw driver who went to relieve himself near the spot. After the locals were alerted, police bomb experts arrived at the spot and defused it. Later, the IED was exploded safely near Hao ground.
