AMPSWA serves 7 day ultimatum

IMPHAL, March 21: Reacting against the sudden de-recognition order of Diligent Public School issued by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur, the All Manipur Private School Welfare Association, AMPSWA convened a press conference at the Manipur Press Club.

Speaking at the briefing, Ph Nobin founder of the school appealed to the authorities to revoke the order as there are presently more than 1000 students admitted at the school. He appealed to the Board to consider the fate of the students and revoke it.

Further briefing the attending media persons, the founder member decried the order and stated that such actions which could affect the future of thousands of student should not be taken at such short notice.

He further complained of laxity on the part of the Board authorities during the delivery of the order to the school authorities. He stated that even though the Board had issued the de-recognition order on Feb 17, he received it only on February 29. He also added that it was not directly delivered to him but was delivered through another person.

He further informed that on receiving the notice, he had sent an application to the Board authorities requesting the board to revoke the order however he has failed to receive any response from the authorities on the regard. He has also filed an RTI application but has also failed to receive any response from the concern authorities, he added.

Meanwhile, N Shantikumar, secretary AMPSWA has set a seven days deadline for the Board authorities to revoke the order or faced various agitations from the private school organisation.
