IMPHAL, March 12 (Newmai News Network): On the recommendations of the council of ministers on Monday, Manipur governor Gurbachan Jagat has dissolved the 9th Manipur legislative assembly with immediate effect.
Consequent upon the dissolution of the 9th Manipur legislative assembly, chief minister O Ibobi Singh and his council of ministers have submitted their resignations to the governor and the latter had accepted the resignation this afternoon. However, the governor has requested O Ibobi Singh and his council of ministers to continue in office till alternatives are arranged.
