`MCP monitoring new revolution in schools`

IMPHAL, March 26: The proscribed Maoist Communist Party has said in a statement that good educational institutions and infrastructures can bring the people of Manipur into the global mainstream even as huge amount of money can be saved from draining away from the State.

Maoist Communist Party would not accept if all the establishments which meant for making equivalent with the world community are to be availed only by the creamy layer of the society, Nonglen Meitei, secretary publicity and propaganda said in a statement on Monday.

Maintaining that the main objective of the outfit is to make a successful new democratic revolution it has been striving for, the statement said massive participation by the people is also an integral part of the goal set by the outfit.

It added that, the outfit supports the initiatives being taken up across the state for developing modern infrastructures and educational institutions so as to prevent from spending huge money in other states for higher learning by students in the state.

Stating that the revolutionary movement in Manipur is retarding due to wrong steps in uniting and integrating between the revolutionaries and Manipuri bourgeois, the statement further said educational institutions should be developed a sense of patriotism and based on democratic culture and these are the foundation of human resource development based on revolution.

Asserting that some schools in the state are in the close competition by inducting new technology of IKEN class, Maoist said it has been closely monitoring on how the students belonging to poor family are trying to cope with it.
