IMPHAL, April 4: A blood donation camp was jointly organized by Composite Hospital CRPF Langjing, Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur Branch and Department of IHBT, RIMS on Wednesday at Group Centre CRPF, Langjing Auditorium Hall.
At the blood donation camp, entitled “Voluntary Blood Donation Camp and Campaign,” more than 200 personnel, including high rank CRPF officials from various battalions donated blood.
Speaking on the occasion, AV Chauhan, CRPF DIG who also donated blood, said the blood donation camp sponsored by state Blood Transfusion Council was organized ahead of the annual commemorative observation which is organized every year in memory of the eight CRPF jawans who sacrificed their lives on April 9, 1965 Gujarat battle fought near India-Pakistan border.
Dr Lala, general secretary of Red Cross Society, Manipur Branch was also participated at the blood donation camp.
