IMPHAL, Apr 3: Suspected NSCN (IM) militants have kidnapped an inter-district bus driver from Henbung last night around 8:30pm, informed a credible source.
The allegedly kidnapped individual identified as one Md Abdul Nazeer, 35 is the driver of a passenger-bus with regd no MN 04A 0777 plying along the Imphal-Senapati route.
Meanwhile, when IFP contacted the Senapati Police Station OC on the phone over the issue, he expressed that there has been no complaints from any quarter on the issue, however added that he had heard something about a missing bus driver and that he is trying to get a lead on the issue.
The reason behind the kidnapping and the whereabouts of the driver remains uncertain till the filing of this report.
