MoS to visit state

IMPHAL, Apr 7: Union Minister of State for defence Dr MM Palam Raju is likely to visit the state on April10-11. Dr MM Palam Raju will be on a North east tour touching down at three states of the region including Manipur, according to a source.

The Union Minister of State for defence who will be leaving the national capital on April 9 will be visiting Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland before finally touching down at border town Moreh on April 10 at 12:45pm before heading for Imphal the same day.

He will be arriving at the border town from Kohima after inspecting the strengthening works of NH29.

Further according to the source, the Union Minister of State for defence is likely to reach Imphal from Moreh at 4pm of April 10 and is likely to call upon the state Governor and the Chief Minister.

After halting the night at Imphal, he will inspect works on NH 53 and reached upto Tamenglong by helicopter and will return back to Imphal at 10:30am.

He will leave Imphal for Delhi at 4:45pm by an Air India flight, the source added.
