Public outcry in Rahul disappearance case

Sit in protest against missing of Don Bosco CHingmeirong on Tuesday.
IMPHAL, April 24: Reacting to the disappearance of a student Rahul Takhellambam of Don Bosco High School Chingmeirong since April 21, residents of Ngaikhong Khullen and Ngaikhong Siphai of Bishnupur district along with the JAC jointly staged a sit in protest and a public meeting at the Chingmeirong Sangakpham main road, today.

The meeting further set a deadline for anyone involved in the case to produce the student or come clean on the whereabouts of the boy before April 28.

The public meeting was also joined by parents of students, students from different schools, local meira paibis and clubs.

12 year old Rahul who stays at the school boarding has remained traceless while returning to his boarding from his school on April 21.

During the public meeting the agitators resolved to start agitations from April 29 in case the involved individuals fail to come clean about the whereabouts of the student before the end of the deadline.

The agitators further expressed that the school authorities should also be held responsible for the missing child as it is the responsibility of the school to take proper care of its students.`
