State police officer tops mid-career training

IMPHAL, April 4: H. Thanghaulien Gangte IPS, presently serving as Superintendent of Police, Imphal east has been awarded scholarship by Indian School of Business, Hyderabad to pursue a course in leadership and management.

The scholarship has been awarded to three IPS officers out of 100 officers for their best performance in the eight week long Mid-Career Training Programme (MCTP-III), for IPS officers conducted by Charles Sturt University, Australia in collaboration with Indian School of Business, Hyderabad from February 6 to March 30 at National police Academy, Hyderabad and Australia.      

The training was designed to equip middle-level Police Managers for the next level of competency. During the training H. Thanghaulien Gangte had made various presentations on welfare and critical incident managements and submitted a strategic issue paper on the need for specialization and professionalism in Manipur police.
