CCpur bodies decried govt apathy on ALTOS-Bus owners impasse

IMPHAL, May 3: A joint meeting of CDSU, ZYA, YMA, HYA, KKL, KSO (Ccpur) & ZHRF held on May 2 at the CDSU Administrative Office Building has unanimously denounced the pathetic attitude` of the government over the long pending `wrangling` issue between the All Lamka Taxi Owners` Association, ALTOS and Bus Owners` Association (Down Service), which has caused a series of inconveniences to the general public, said a press statement signed by jointly by the bodies.

It has further expressed its strong resentment on the `mysterious loss` of CT Scan equipments at District Hospital, Churachandpur, while the concerned department turned down a deaf ear on the pleas of civil society groups for nabbing the culprits and/or installing new CT Scan equipments.

In view of the untold hardships/unnecessary inconveniences being faced by the people of Churachandpur, the joint meeting has appealed to the concerned authorities, Govt of Manipur to chalk out a prompt impartial and credible/amicable solution vis-a-viz the imbroglio between the ALTOS and Bus Owners Association (Down Service), and book the culprits involved in the theft case, bring them to Justíce, and install new CT Scan equipments respectively on or before May 7.

The bodies will be forced to call a total indefinite bandh from the midnight of May 9 in case the government fail to comply with the appeal on the loss of the CT Scan, said the release.
