IMPHAL, May 23: A one day “Annual Cultural Festival-2012” organized by the Thoubal District Arts and Culture Development Association at Hiyanglam Makha Leikai Community Hall was inaugurated today.
The inaugural program was attended by MLA of Hiyanglam assembly constituency Maibam Kunjo as the Chief Guest.
President of TDACDA Y Tomei presided over the function while Hiyanglam Pradhan E Rajni and S Bideshwar secretary of Manipur State Kala Academy were the guests of honor.
The program was marked by artists exhibiting martial arts, cultural dances and other forms of traditional arts.
Altogether twenty artists selected from Thoubal district were conferred the title of “Kala Bhushan” and awarded the “Guru Amusana Medal”.
