Justice for Richard representative Dr Bishwajit urged the state government to further press the Karnataka government to institute a CBI inquiry in the regard.

Biswajeet said that the concerned individuals through ‘Facebook’ came together to protest against the alleged murder.

The Justice for Richard website has more than 2 lakh members and has collected twenty five thousand signatures which were forwarded to the Prime Minister in the form of a petition.

Manipur Students Association Delhi also met the PM in this regard in which follow up action was assured.

“We still have not seen any positive response from the PM office”, Dr Biswajjit added.

He further mentioned that the Richard case has to be pursued till justice is had.

“It will become a testament that discrimination to the north east students must be stopped, we need the wholehearted further support of the public,” he added.

Loitam Rajesh stated that the medical report of his son is not factual and alleged that it was misleading. “The report does not cite that my son was a victim of assault, neither does it specify the cause of death”, he said.

Showing pictures of tell tale bruise marks on Richard’s body and the scene of the alleged crime, Rajesh hinted that his son was a victim of homicide.
