IMPHAL, June 2: Excellent Academy to meet Keibi High School for the final match, after they defeated Brighter Academy and North Eastern English School in the today’s semi-finals of the U-17 boy’s district level Subroto Mukherjee football tournament of Imphal East district at Practice Field, Khuman Lampak.
In the first semi-final Excellent Academy beat Brighter Academy 5-1. Sanatomba scored three goals and Inao scored two goals for the winning team, while Brighter Academy was able to reply to one goal in the 44th minutes by Janshianson.
In the second semi-final Keibi High School beat North Eastern English School 5-3. Where Kh Prasanta contributed four goals and Raju contributed one goal for the winning team. Imran and Resami scored for the losing team.
In the U-17 women’s, Oriental English School beat Andro High School 9-0. Zinnia (3), Jony (2), S Ajbita (1), M Arti (1), Th Janda (1) and Lalam Haokip (1) scored the goals for the winning team.
Meanwhile, in the U-14 boy’s quarter finals North Eastern English School beat Brighter Academy 2-0. Yorabung High School beat Kids High School 2-1 (tie-breaker); Oriental English School beat Maheirel Sindam Shang 6-5 (tie-breaker) and Khundrakpam Public School beat Tampha Quality High School 2-1.
North Eastern English School will meet Yorabung High School and Oriental English School will meet Khundrakpam Public School for the U-14 boy’s semi-finals.
