Inauguration Function of Futurescape
Imphal: Apple iPad, cash awards worth Rs.71,000, sponsorship for education and discounts on admission. The opening day of Futurescape – Imphal Education Fair 2012 organised by Fluorescence Communications.
The fair was opened by Professor HNK Sharma, Vice Chancellor Manipur University and presided over by Mr. Mobi, the president of All Manipur Working Journalists’Association. Dr. Ishpal Bhardwaj, Chairman – Savera Group of Institutions, the Guest of Honour of the function, made the most generous announcement – 50% waiver in Tuition fee for admissions in any course in Savera Group of Institutions and full sponsorship for the further education of Sapna, the girl who has touched everyone’s heart with her story of hardship and triumph. Dr. Ishpal also awarded her with a cash prize of Rs.10,000.
Earlier Mohammad Ismat, the wonder boy of Manipur and the shining star of the entire North East, was felicitated with an Apple iPad and a cash award of Rs.21,000. All the other toppers of Class XII and Class X were also given cash rewards of Rs.10,000 each.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor HNK Sharma reiterated the importance of quality education for a society like ours and congratulated the organisers Fluorescence Communications for successfully putting together such an education fair.
Not to be left behind on the goodies meant for the students of Manipur, Aakash Institute, who are also the sponsors of the Apple iPad given to Ismat, announced a flat 10% discount on every admission into their IIT-JEE and Medical preparation courses.
Many a parent and students were seen making a beeline in most of the stalls. The stalls of North American Manipur Association, Aakash, Savera & APG Shimla University were some of the busiest corners. Dr.Reddy’s Foundation, with their stall offering admission into livelihood programmes at virtually no cost was also a big hit. One of the highlight features of the fair is the Luckiest Visitor of the Hour wherein a lucky draw was picked every hour and presented with surprise gifts. For students who are seriously seeking admission for their further studies, Futurescape has lot of answers to offer.
