IMPHAL, June 20: WFC won the third place after they beat PYC 7-6 in a tie-breaker match of the 1st W Sanahanbi Memorial Khundrakpam Kendra Football Tournament at Leitanpokpi Ground.

As both the team were locked with 3-3 goals in the normal time, the match was decided with a tie-breaker.

Lalboi (4th/36th minutes), Minthang (41st minute) scored for WFC, while M Somendro (20th/48th minutes), S Raju (29th minute) scored for PYC during normal time.

IMPHAL, June 19: PJPC will meet SCY for the final on June 22 after they defeated WFC and PYC in the semi-finals today of the 1st W Sanahanbi Memorial Khundrakpam Kendra Football tournament at Leitanpokpi.   

PJPC beat WFC 3-1 in the first semi-final, while SCY beat PYC 6-5 in a tie-breaker match of the second semi-final today.

In the first semi-final match, N Raju (18th/51st minute), ThGeet (31st minute) scored for PJPC. Khuminlal scored for WFC in 9th minute of the match.

N Bijen (PJPC), Khuminlal (WFC) and Paominlal (WFC) were booked yellow cards.

The second semi-final match was decided with a tie-breaker as both the teamsended scoring 2-2 in the normal time. ThSharan scored both the goals for SCY in 15th/29th minutes. S Naocha (31st minute) and S Raju (58th minute) scored for PYC.

During the tie-breaker, Y Ibohal and S Raju of PYC missed the goal and for SCY only K Inao missed the goal.   

IMPHAL, June 18: YSC Leitanpokpi was lost to WFC Wakanphai by 3-2 in the 3rd quarterfinal, while SCY Yumnam Khunou beat Boriyang 5-2 in the 4th quarterfinal of the 1st W Sanahanbi Memorial Khundrakpam Kendra Football Tournament at Leitanpokpi today.

In the 3rd quarterfinal match, WFC made a good start with Minthang scoring the first goal in 3th and it was equalized by S Maipaksana in 31th, but again WFC took the lead with poumingam scoring a goal in 32th, which was again equalized by S Tondonba in 35th. Lastly, Ngaminthang scored the last goal of the match in 38th declaring WFC’s win.

While, SCY’s win in the 4th quarterfinal match, was credited to Somokanta for scoring three goals in 15th, 23th and 28th minutes. Ph Sharon and K Romi also contributed one goal each in 13th and 30th. And for the Boriyang, Thangboi and Khanlal scored the two goals in 31th and 40th minutes.

Semi-finals tomorrow: PJPC vs WFC, PYS vs SCY.

IMPHAL, June 15: YSC (B) Leitanpokpi beat Boriyang (B) 1-0, PJPC beat SKY 3-0, Boriyang (A) draws 0-0 PLYC and SCY beat FRC 4-2 in today’s matches of the 1st W Sanahanbi Memorial Khundrakpam Kendra Football Tournament at Leitanpokpi. 

Quarter final line-up: PJPC vs UVA on June 16, YSC vs WFC and Boriyang (B) vs SYC on June 17.

IMPHAL, June 14: Boriyang (A) beat WFC 3-1, PYC draws 2-2 with SAIPO and DDYC was lost to Pukhao Laipham by 7-2 in today’s matches of the on-going 1st W Sanahanbi Memorial Khundrakpam Kendra Men’s Open Football Tournament at Leitanpokpi ground.   

IMPHAL, June 13: WFC thrash YSC 5-0, SKY beat NDYC 12-2, UVA beat Boriyang 1-0 and SCY thrash BBA 6-2 in today’s matches of the on-going 1st W Sanahanbi Memorial Khundrakpam Kendra Men’s Open Football Tournament at Leitanpokpi.
