URF imposes ban on hiring of public halls by network companies

IMPHAL, June 12: The militant outfit URF has banned hiring out or renting of hotels, halls and other places to network companies such as Amway, Tiens, Bajaj-Alliance, Herbal Life in the state with immediate effect.

In a statement signed by its publicity secretary, AK Pibarel, the URF has warned anyone found going against its diktat to willingly face dire consequences.

Saying that some individuals might have been disappointed by the decision of URF, it said that the stance of the outfit was announced after a thorough study of the bad influence of the network companies which are directly attempting to Indianise and disband the people.

The decision was not taken hastily, the outfit categorically said while adding that such network is an aversion to the revolutionaries.

URF reiterated that engaging of hotels, halls and other places to the network companies would not be allowed under any circumstances but it said that hiring out or renting for other purposes would not be covered under the purview of the ban imposed by the outfit.

It also appealed to all concerned to act upon the ban and to kindly take notice that the move does not intend to incite conflicts among people.
