AR kills 4 Kuki militants

    IMPHAL, July 1: At least four militants of a KNA faction have been reportedly gunned down by troops of 44 Assam Rifles during an encounter at Phaikok under Chachad Police Station in Ukhrul district, a police source said here Saturday.

    It is believed that the four slain militants were belonged to KNA (Lunngam) faction of the militant group Kuki National Army (KNA).

    Two AK rifles, one M-16 rifles, one Motorola Wireless set and some 200 ammo were seized form the slain militants, the source added.
