IMPHAL, July 27: RAU, Lairikyengbam Leikai player Becker was shown the red card during their match against Citizens’ Club, Soibam Leikai Wangkhei Khunou in the ongoing Imphal East 1st division Football league tournament at the Khuman lampak Football Practice ground.
Citizens’ club players took full advantage of the 10 men RAU and handed a 3-0 defeat to the Lairikyengbam lekai club.
Meanwhile, Becker was shown the red card in the 50th minute for intentionally handing the ball inside the penalty area. Citizens’ Club was awarded a spot kick which was easily converted by S Krishan in the 51st minute.
Ch Kishan scored the two other goals in the 22nd and the 73rd minutes of play.
Three of the CC players were also shown yellow cards.
Meanwhile, the second match of the day between SSC, Porompat and UPSA, Pukhao was washed out due to heavy rains.
