IMPHAL, July 1: The Democratic Students’ Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) on Sunday said it will never accept the result of the Merit List of MBBS/BDS Common Entrance Test 2012 which was declared on June 23 seeking intervention of the state government to end the impasse.

The whole controversy over the medical entrance exam should not be blamed on M/S Exxon Automation Pvt Ltd, W Islauddin, president, DESAM told journalists at its headquarters here.

Accusing the government of trying to cover up its mistakes by making the Axxon a scape goat, Islauddin said mere blacklisting of this outside company cannot end the issue.

He demanded that the state Health Minister, Commissioner and Director should be resigned immediately.

Saying that a lot of mistakes were detected in the June 23 Merit List of the MBBS/BDS Entrance Exam, the DESAM president maintained that Roll No-2284 in the serial number 2 of the June 11 and 22 merit lists was selected under OBC (M) category and then in the June 22 list, the same roll number was included as a sports category candidate.

Likewise, many errors were found in the medical entrance test, Islauddin said and pointed out that there must not be a big difference in the merit lists while correcting the answer keys A, B, C and D of the Physics Question Series Code.

Such change was made by powerful people, he accused, pointing out further that question numbers 90 and 98 of Series Number ‘C’ of Biology subject were also found incorrect.

Urging the state Chief Minister and Governor to intervene in the matter, Islauddin also appealed the government to discuss the matter in the state Assembly as well as the Cabinet.
