IMPHAL, July 29: A state executive meeting of Manipur Loumi Lup has today thoroughly discussed about present condition of drought in Manipur. The farmers of Manipur are facing the problems of drought in the state. Though, instead of declaring the state as drought affected state the chief minister is diverting the situation by declaring “ratio of rainfall have caused interference in declaring the state as drought state”, the meeting took the matter as serious, the release said.
In relation with drought, a public meeting will be held on August 2, 2012 at 11 am at Keishampat Lairembi Community Hall, Manipur.
The Lup also asked to all the farmers of Manipur to attend the meet without fail, the Manipur Loumi Lup has said in a release.
