    IMPHAL, July 1: A moderate magnitude earthquake measuring 5.9 ML rocked the entire state and neighbouring Nagaland.

    The earthquake which was triggered at 9:44:53.83 am (IST) was felt at 9:44:12.3 am at the Seismological Observatory of Manipur University.

    According to the seismological observatory, Manipur University, the earthquake wave took about 42 seconds to reach Imphal.

    The epicentre was located at Manipur-Nagaland boundary (Ukhrul and Phek districts) in the North Eastern part of Manipur about 110 km from Imphal.

    The depth of the earthquake as estimated is 60 km, the observatory said.
