IMPHAL, July 23: Apropos a news item published in some local dailies, Imphal East SP Kamei Angam Romanus has clarified that Longjam Suranjoy, president of Kiyamgei Youth Pioneer Club reported in writing to OC Irilbung Police Station against two persons, namely Khuraijam Johnson, son of (late) Kh Mohon and Khuraijam John both from Kiyamgei Heibong Makhong on allegation of causing disturbance to the members of KYPC and Meira Paibis of Kiyamgei Pal Ahanbi during the time of road diversion work at Leishang Hiden, Kiyamgei Pal Ahanbi and firing four/five rounds. However, on enquiry to the application and examination of the two alleged persons no evidence was found to substantiate the charges leveled against the two persons for legal action.
