Indo-Myanmar Border Trade Centre at Behiang Manipur

LAMKA, July 27: Site for the construction of Indo-Myanmar Border Trade Centre has finally been settled today at Behiang by MLA Singngat G S Haupu with the village chief Jubilee Moi.

GS Haupu left  for Behiang this morning at about 7:30 am accompanied by SDO Rachel Guite, two MDC`s, DSO and soon after reaching the village held discussions with the village chief and finally reached to an understanding.

Accompanied by the chief, the MLA and his team inspected two sites settled for the one where the foundation stone of the Indo-Myanmar Border Trade Centre will be laid.

GS Haupu talking to the press at the site stated there will be at least two acres of land needed for the purpose adding the foundation stone will be laid within August next by a team of minister.

He further said the one in Behiang and another at Ukhrul have already been approved by the central government and urged the general public for cooperation for making the project a success.
