UKHRUL, July,17: The Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Francis Ngajokpa has assured of constructing a ring road around Ukhrul district.
The funds for building the ring road will be funded from the MGNREGS.
The assurance of the development came when the Minister accompanied by the MLA Victor Keishing MK. Preshow along with additional chief secretary, Ameising Luikham and Ukhrul District Level Officers (DLOs) conducted an official tour today.
The Ministerial team conducted a thorough site survey and later a meeting was held at Ukhrul Guest House. The ring road beginning in the East, from the road cross point at 6th MR towards the stretching down via to Har-farm and crossing till the Ukhrul- Somsai road which is about 5-6 kms and the plan is a new Eastern Ukhrul road connectivity to be constructed below the present Eastern Circular road. And the western ring road survey is also planned and projected from Ukhrul Headquarter New Western Circular road to connect the main road of Ukhrul-Tadubi via Tolloi junction.
