IMPHAL, July 6: Samananda Khangembam, son of Khangembam Ongbi Heikrujam Shanti Devi of Khoyathong Polem Leikai has been selected to pursue PhD programme in Physics at North Illinois University, Chicago, United States on fulltime teaching assistantship.
Samananda completed his masters in physics from Manipur University. At NIU, he will be working with the High Energy Physics Group which is carrying out research work at the prestigious Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory known for its recent discovery of “God Particle”.
