IMPHAL, July 30: All Tribal Chiefs’ Forum Manipur has submitted a memorandum to the chairman of Hill Area Committee, Manipur regarding unfair allocation of MGNREGS fund.
The memorandum mentioned that the diversion of MGNREGS fund, 25 percent for district council and 25 percent for line department cannot be accepted as the fund meant for rural employment in the villages cannot be deducted unfairly.
The forum further demanded the authorities concerned to immediately cancel the orders of 2009 which leaves only 50 percent of the MGNREGS fund for the village level daily wage job card holders before resorting to intense agitations.
