IMPHAL, July 24: A non-local labourer of the Northern Frontier Railway was crushed to death when a part of the tunnel he was working caved in at at Khongshang Happen, Tamenglong, yesterday around 6:30am.
He was engaged in the construction of Tunnel no 12 along the Jiribam-Tupul rail line at Khongshang Happen, Tamenglong.
Sources identified the labourer as Abhishek Ranjan Jha, 19 son of Ratneshwar Jha of Belasadi village, Madhiya Pura, Bihar.
The dead body was handed over to the railway authorities after post mortem was conducted at RIMS.
