IMPHAL, July 19: YOSC, Khurai defeated ABA, Kshetrigao while XI Star, Akampat drew with KIYC, Kshetri Awang Leikai today during the ongoing Maharajkumar Ghanendrajit Memorial Super Division Football league tournament (Imphal East) at Khuman lampak Practice ground.
In the first ground match of the day, YOSC defeated ABA by a solitary goal. With today’s win, YOSC is now at the top of the points table.
Gangmei Paulinmei converted a spot kick for YOSC in the 77th minute.
YOSC received a penalty kick after Milan of ABA grabbed Moses Jajo’s jersey of YOSC inside the penalty area.
The second match of the day ended in a 1-1 draw between KIYC and XI Stars.
The first goal of the match was scored by Kh Sadam in the 74th minute for XI Star, however, A Rojio equalised the scoreline in the next minute for KIYC.
Meanwhile, during the ongoing 5th Kishorekumar memorial first division league football tournament at the DSA, Kakching ground, UCC, Kakching drew with SESU, Kakching while AVO, Kakching defeated YSA, Langmeidong by 4-1 today.
In the first match of the day, UCC drew with SESU with a 1-1 scoreline.
Wilson scored the first goal of the match in the 18th minute for SESU which was equalised in the 40th minute by James for UCC.
In the second ground match, AVO completely dominated YSA with a 4-1 scoreline.
Indranath of AVO scored twice in the 39th and 72nd minute, while, Shanta Kumar (7th) and Tyson (55th) scored one each.
Kala scored for YSA in the 59th minute of play.
